Casabi Organics Thanksgiving Stuffing

Time required: 45 minutes
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Level: Easy

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams Casabi Organics Crumbs or Crackers (crushed)
  • 450 grams  organic Berkshire pork sausage meat
  • 4 Organic eggs
  • 2 Organic medium size onions, finely diced
  • 2 Organic medium size apples, finely diced
  • 4 Stalks organic celery, finely diced
  • 80 grams organic dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon  each of the following fresh herbs: thyme, rosemary, sage, tarragon, garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh pepper
  • 1 tablespoon organic extra virgin olive oil
  • Optional 2 tablespoons butter

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 375°C (400°F).

Grease 9 x 13 baking dish

In a skillet sautee with olive oil onions,celery,herbs and spices until onions are translucent.

In a bowl combine sautéed items with sausage meat, eggs. Add Casabi Organics Crumbs, apples and cranberries and mix thoroughly

Season with salt and pepper and transfer to prepared baking dish. Top with butter if desired.

Cover with Foil Bake 25 minutes.

Remove foil and brown under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes.

Note: for Vegan recipe replace sausage and eggs with  cooked organic brown rice. Follow all steps but do not bake.


Casabi Ancient Grain Protein Fiber Bar

Each bar contains 10g of protein plus essential fatty acids and Fiber

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Casabi Original or Cinnamon Crackers
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • 1 Cup almond butter
  • 1 Cup slivered almonds
  • 1 Cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ Cup flaxseeds
  • 1 Cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 Cup hemp seeds
  • 3 Cups puffed quinoa
  • 1 Cup puffed amaranth
  • 1 Cup coconut flakes

How to Prepare:
1. Crush Casabi Original Crackers to a uniform crumb consistency.
2. Over medium heat, stir together honey and almond butter.
3. When heated through, add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
4. Spread into 9 x 13 pan.
5. Refrigerate and cut into 24 squares.
